Jack’s Law

It’s a privilege to speak in support of making Jack’s Law permanent and to acknowledge Brett and Belinda Beasley, who’ve turned unimaginable tragedy into a powerful legacy for their son, Jack. Their work through the Jack Beasley Foundation is saving lives, raising awareness, and making a real difference. The success of wanding operations shows this law works—over 115,000 people scanned, with barely any complaints. It’s a simple, effective tool that gives police certainty and protects lives. I also want to highlight the importance of parole reform, particularly in addressing domestic violence. I’m proud to be part of a government restoring community safety and backing our frontline workers.
