Queensland is proudly home to people from more than 220 countries and territories, who speak over 190 languages! Multicultural Queensland Month is all about celebrating that diversity and how it makes our state such a great place to live.
The Lockyer Valley Festival of Cultures, held on 3 August at Littleton Park in Gatton, was a fantastic celebration of the many diverse nations who are represented in our region. From delicious food, uplifting music, treasured arts and unique cultures, it was a great day out (despite the cold wind!) to celebrate our diversity. It was a privilege to share this with those who have come from across the globe and now call the Lockyer Valley home. Well done Lockyer Valley Regional Council on delivering this event, and to all the talented performers, stall holders, and participants – well done!
